At the same time, Canopy Growth stock prices rose by 4.3 percent in Toronto.

Medical cannabis clinical trials

Canopy Growth is exploring how cannabis can improve the health of both people and their pets. Cannabidiol (CBD) is popular for treating many medical conditions. From sleeplessness to stress to inflammation, CBD is in demand. CBD is the part of the cannabis plant that does not cause the traditional high of THC. CBD also comes from the hemp plant. Canopy sees a market for pets and is researching CBD to help them deal with anxiety. Canopy CEO Bruce Linton said hemp is a protein that is easy to add to your pet’s food.
