Is Growing Your Own Weed Better Than Buying Weed

Growing weed is better than buying it on the streets. Now that more states are legalizing marijuana, it is becoming easier to buy in person. This brings up the question of whether you should grow your weed or should you move over to buying weed from a dispensary? We are going to take a look at the answer to that question today.

Growing Your Own Marijuana

Depending on where you live, it may be easy and legal to grow your marijuana. Despite the legality, people have been growing small amounts of weed from home for ages, it brings with it a good number of benefits and while it may take some learning, is not overly difficult. One of the biggest benefits of marijuana growing is that you are in complete control of your cannabis, you know where it comes from and how it was grown. You don’t have to worry about chemical fertilizer or insect treatments.

A Hobby Than Can Fit In You Closet

Weed takes a relatively small amount of room to grow so it can be grown in a closet or smaller indoor area, especially if you do not want to grow that much. You have full control over your growing station and some of the best cannabis grows have been ones that individuals have set up in their home with a little bit of research and work.

You will have to do some work and research to get into growing your cannabis. It starts with learning about the growing conditions and different strains out there, but you will also have to learn how to maintain the growth and how to harvest it. Additionally, setting up your grow area and getting seeds will take an investment, however, that investment is an upfront fee and from there you do not have to pay too much for getting quality weed and a hobby that you can enjoy. A small grow area could be a small unused closet. Growing your own weed is a rewarding hobby.

Buying Weed From a Dispensary

Now that dispensaries are opening up, buying weed has become easier than it used to be. However, it has also become more expensive. Now weed is taxed and there are higher costs due to having to maintain commercial growing farms that have to meet health and safety standards and middlemen. This has raised the cost of buying marijuana above that of growing your own.

It is hard to argue that anything can be easier than walking into a dispensary and buying marijuana. But you can’t buy the strains you can grow at home. BC Seeds has the ebst cannabis strains in the world and none are available at your local dispensary. Being able to go to the shop has an ease to it that may make it more worthwhile to some who are looking to get weed. Dispensary quality may not be up to your standards even with many states regulating the production of weed. We all know how governments mess with our local food production , GMO’s, fertilizers, pesticides and weed killers. I wouldn’t personally trust them with the cannabis I ingest on a daily basis.

Weed shops are currently a cash-only business because cannabis is still illegal on a federal level, that means you can’t use your credit card or even a debit card. So when you’re low on cash, you may not be able to credit the weed you need today. Many weed shops have an ATM in or near them though to make the process simpler.

Which to Choose?

If you have the time to grow your marijuana and want to learn a new skill, growing your marijuana is the way to go. In the long run, you will end up saving money and get a product that you know intimately. However, for those who do not have the time to invest in growing their plants, they may find it easier to go to a shop. Just be prepared to pay more and not get exactly what you are looking for.

Having access to marijuana without having to go to the store can be quite a joy. You also get the benefit of being able to imbibe in something that you grew, making it that much more special. So, which do you think is best now that you know our opinion?
