Making your own organic soil

Making your own organic soil is super easy. But you need to control things like the nitrogen and carbon ratios, airflow, and temperature. So here is the process step-by-step:

1. Set out a 3-foot by 3-foot square in a spare space in your backyard.
2. Cover the area with a thick layer of dry leaves or straw to a 4-inch thickness.
3. Add a 4-inch layer of material full of nitrogen such as coffee grounds or manure.
4. Over that add a half-inch layer of blood and bone.
5. Continue to repeat steps 2 to 4 until the whole thing is 3 feet high.
6. Leave the whole thing to decompose.
7. Turn it all over once a week at a minimum and no more often than every three days.
8. It is ready to use when it composts into a dark, crumbly, sweet smelling soil.

Making your own cannabis-fertilizer mix

Making you own cannabis fertilizer is also easy. Here is the way to do it:

1. Get out a tarp or kid’s swimming pool. The swimming pool is a great option as it will contain the material to mix it.
2. Put in a 1-inch layer of your organic fertilizer across the bottom.
3. Scatter a scoop of mycorrhizae (a fungus) and coco fibers across the top.
4. Now add the following:
   1. 750 grams of rock phosphate
   2. ¼ of a cup of azomite to add trace elements
   3. ½ a cup of dolomite lime
   4. 1/8 of a cup of Epsom salts
   5. tablespoon of humic acid.
5. Cover with another 1-inch layer of your homemade soil.
6. Spread 1 kilogram of bat guano over the top.
7. Add another 1-inch layer of soil.
8. Next add 1 kilogram of steamed of bone meal.
9. Add another 1-inch layer of soil.
10. Mix everything together with a spade.
11. Fill garbage bins to three quarters full with the mixture.
12. Fill each garbage can with around 2½ gallons of water.
13. Leave to sit in the sun for 30 days.
